January 2016

It's been many moons...but I am going to try and get this going again.

Chloe and Autumn have been asking for a kite. I think we saw one in a magazine. Chloe received one for Christmas. The first day we took it out was a super windy day and SO simple to get it up in the air! Fun! I tried to tell them it wasn't always like that and that usually you have to run and run and try and try. The next time we tried was much more difficult and they quickly gave up.

School is back in session and both girls are loving math right now. Getting back into a routine after the holidays has been so good for all of us.

Adam is doing well. He has decided to give up running for the time being and has taken up swimming. He has taken some clinics in order to learn proper swimming and breathing techniques. He swam in his first swim meet this past Saturday!

Chloe, Autumn, and I are currently in North Carolina at Mom's house. Pretty much just as I always remembered it. The trip here was fantastic! I mean, as fantastic as 10+ hours cooped up in a van can be :)

We have been to see the river and been to Ginger's Bakery. We've also picked up a couple Bill's hot dogs. All of the things I used to do as a girl.

Adam and I have discovered the joys of massage. We started getting them after each of us suffered some sort of minor injury. Sports massages are not the relaxing sort of thing I always pictured a massage to be. However, they have been very helpful. I have told Chloe and Autumn all about my massage appointments. Their newest pretend play is massage and shoe store.

I just thought this was hilarious :) She was really trying to see the picture with one eye! I'm sure she will have this same look in just a few years when she is putting on mascara :)

  1. I enjoyed reading this whole post and seeing the pictures. The girls are really growing up! The most amazing thing in this is that they love math!!!! Wish they'd send that love this way. ;)
