10 Years

Adam and I celebrated 10 years together this year.  My first gift...Home Free concert in Knoxville!

We have been wanting to take a cruise and we finally decided to do it :)  We started at the Nashville airport with this...

Then we flew to San Diego.

We got in late on Thursday night.  We had all day Friday and part of the day Saturday in San Diego.  Friday was a dreary, rainy day, but we made the best of it.  We went to Coronado where the oldest hotel is located.  This is the elevator...cage like with a bell man.

Most odd looking seaweed I have ever seen!  Had things attached to it that looked like christmas ornaments and were really hard.

We spent the rest of our time Friday at the USS Midway.  Adam had a blast!  I didn't complain much :)

Friday night, we had a delicious meal at a steak and seafood place called Eddie V's.  I had swordfish.  It was the best fish I have EVER had.  Best meal of the trip.

We traveled with some friends who are also runners, so on Saturday morning we all went for a run.  It was fantastic!  We ran by the ocean, had an adventure over some rocks, ran through some neat neighborhoods, got sprayed by sea water, saw sea lions, and tackled the Torrey Pines Hill!

Sat afternoon we got on our cruise ship...the Jewel of the Seas.

Our first stop was Catalina island.  It is a quaint little island with very few cars.  Most use golf carts. We walked around the island, watched some scuba divers and went to the Avalon Casino, which is not a casino, but a movie theater, ballroom, and museum.

Monday morning we sailed under the Golden Gate bridge which was pretty awesome.  We saw a couple of whales, a sea lion, and a dolphin as well.

Our ship cleared the bridge by 50 feet!

In San Francisco, we experienced In N Out.

Then we rented some bicycles and biked the Golden Gate Bridge!  The wind was incredible. I couldn't take many photos because the wind was so strong I couldn't hold my phone still enough.

After our bike ride, we went to Ghirardelli Chocolate and ate this...

We ended the day with a twilight bus ride tour.  I wasn't prepared for the wind!  It was chilly.
Part 2...coming soon :)
