BOING! Spring Sprang!

One day we had this...

A few days later, we got to wear these...
For WEEKS, Chloe has been asking to wear shorts and short sleeves.  For a while, she was even voluntarily wearing capris with leggings underneath, because she could wear what she wished, but wouldn't be cold.  Yesterday, when I told her to get dressed in shorts and a t-shirt, she came out of her room in sweatpants and long sleeves!

Yesterday, we spent the ENTIRE day outside and I even got a little sun-kissed!

(You can't hear her, but she's saying, "Mom, help me PLEASE and stop taking pictures!")

Autumn's favorite outdoor activities right now involve a ball, which is incredibly exciting for me.  She's trying to learn to dribble and we have been working on chest and bounce passes :)
She has also been working on her running skills.  One day we told her she is too little to run with Adam and ever since she has been "practicing".

Chloe's favorite outdoor pastime continues to be playing in the dirt.  Of course, she wants to do it her own way and not in any organized fashion.  I planted some things yesterday and made some beds look nicer, which I thought she would love to help me with, but she just wanted to "make mud."

My favorite little girl terms:
(which seem to quickly be coming to an end)
sumpin = something
windin = the wind is blowing HARD
"My hair is windin away!"

  1. Too funny that Chloe put on sweats. Kids just want to do the opposite! I love that Autumn is practice running and basketball. And that Chloe likes to make mud. I made mud pies for YEARS!! I remember being pretty big and still making them. We had poke berries that I'd cook with and they stained you purple. (and I hear now that they are poison??)
