Here I am...now with a 5 year old and a 3.5 year old! They aren't little anymore and there aren't as many "firsts" to share, but I know you have been pining away for an update from us.
We still like to be crafty and have become quite avid bird watchers. The girls got birdhouses to paint from Granna and Big Papa for Christmas, so we have painted and hung those. We bought some pricier bird seed and have had quite the assortment of birds. We have the usual cardinals, robins, blue jays, starlings, and doves. But this year, we discovered dark eyed juncos, chickadees, house finches, gold finches (I think....they are only slightly yellow), and various woodpeckers. We have gotten a new, more detailed bird book and some bird magazines. We usually see something new every day! We have been experimenting with kitchen scraps and what the birds/squirrels will or will not eat.
We have gotten to see this little man quite a lot recently! Autumn and he play well together, but he and Chloe are at butting head ages. Chloe likes to be "in charge" and Hunter doesn't want to be told what to do.
Chloe has been asking for weeks to have her hair cut short. She had a couple of friends who got bobs and I guess she liked it. I resisted for a while, because her hair is gorgeous, but she really doesn't enjoy people fooling with her hair and often took it down after I fixed it. I tried rolling it in curlers and doing more "fun" things with it, but she continued to ask.
So...here it is! It's still long enough to be pulled back some and she likes it. I think it's adorable, but she looks like she is 10 now.
We never did really get much snow this winter, but we had our fill of cold, dreary days. Thus, we are REALLY enjoying the sunshine and warm weather the past few days. Happens every spring, right?

Great picture of Adam and the girls. And you may already be planning to, but you should keep up doing the "in the tree" picture as a growth chart type thingy!!
ReplyDeleteHadn't thought about tree growth chart. That would be unique!
