Beach 2013

It took some prompting, but here's my first beach post :)

We really enjoyed our down time!  We got to spend some quality time with my mother's side of the family.  I enjoyed my visit with my "mom" immensely.  It was short, but great!  

Chloe was incredibly excited this year!  It took no persuasion to get her to visit the beach when we arrived.  (In years past, she didn't want to let her feet touch the sand and the ocean was too loud.)  When the waves came, she still held on tightly, but by the time we finished our late afternoon walk, her shorts were soaked and falling off.  

Autumn, on the other hand, was excited about the birds.  She chased sea gulls and sand pipers to her heart's delight.   

Monday and Tuesday were pretty cloudy.  With the wind, it was a little chilly.  We spent most of our swimming time at the pool those days.  We also visited the local aquarium.  

After the aquarium, we went to a park and had a little snack.  The girls were so excited that there were some new playthings.

The rest of the week was beautiful!  We built sand castles, buried each other's feet, watched the birds and the water, hunted sand crabs and pretty shells, and had a ball!  

Of course, I took way too many pictures, so this will have to do until I get to go through the next bunch.
