Candy Land

The Party
(Yes, the woman who is a regulator of ALL things sugar let her little girl
have a CANDY land party!)

Disclaimer: I ordered the cake from Publix.  I was not impressed :/  Too gaudy for my taste, but the kids loved it and it tasted fabulous and I suppose those are the important things!
Adam helped me put together a life size Candy Land board.  The path started at our front door, went through the dining room, kitchen, and living room.  The balloons and banner are "candy land". The oldest guests enjoyed it most.  Chloe was too excited to really play.  Fun idea though :)

We also "built" things out of toothpicks, gum drops, and marshmallows.
The party guests (with the exception of one)

Chloe was a fabulous birthday girl!  She gave out the favor bags so her guests could be entertained while she opened gifts.  And she happily gave hugs and was gracious to the gift giver.  Proud mom moment :)

All of the children were excited about the cake!  What's better than chocolate cake and icing topped off with candy?!

Notice, all are in blowing form except for Chloe.  The little girl in front of me happily blew out three.  Autumn and I blew out the last one.  Chloe was glad for everyone else to do the work for her.  Guess she is already learning to delegate.

It was a good day!

  1. Love the lifesize path on the floor! Great idea. But that cake.... you could have made one much cuter!!! LOL But then again, time is worth a lot.

Traci got a princess cake (castle) from Publix and was VERY disappointed in it. The way it looked, not the way it tasted.

    Love you all!
