We went the annual Halloween party with people from our church family Friday night. The girls still didn't have much of an opinion on costumes this year. (Autumns LOVES to dress up daily, but she didn't understand the "Halloween costume" concept before hand.) They don't have favorite TV or movie characters since they rarely watch television. Chloe's favorite animals are ostriches and wild pigs (is that normal?!) Autumn's favorite animal is an elephant. I couldn't figure out how to make any of those into costume apparel. So, I thought, since they love the cows that are near our house, wouldn't it be fun to do that? Plus, we can reuse these to get free Chic Fil A :) They both really enjoy having their faces painted as well. Adam and I went as Bob Ross and a happy tree. I never thought I would wear leaves on my head, but it was fun!
Since I didn't really get a good one of Chloe alone on that afternoon, I've been trying to be covert since then :)
We played in the leaves Friday morning. We had some brush that needed burning and I did a little raking simultaneously. Jumping in and throwing leaves never gets old.
I miss playing in the leaves! Sure looks like fun. And I love the costumes. MOOOOO!
ReplyDeleteOh, there are plenty more leaves to play in. I'm sure we can leave some on the ground in anticipation of your next visit. Yes, there have been leaves in our yard in recent years until March!
