Picture.....less

Unfortunately, I haven't been taking any pictures lately.  Thus, I have hesitated to post because I seem to get a few naysayers wondering about pictures :)  We have been caught up in our day to day.  Spending time outside with water play and watching baby birds learn their way around.  Several of our friends are in the same process as us, selling or buying houses, moving and constantly cleaning, and we've assisted (or played with their children while they worked!) We've gotten to spend some extra time with some of our school age friends now that summer has begun as well.  VBS is this week.  We are keeping plenty busy.

A few notes of interest:

Autumn's vocabulary has EXPLODED!  Much of it still sounds like babble to the uninformed ear, but she quickly lets you know she is talking to Y.O.U!  She says "Yes" much more than Chloe did/does.  I don't think Chloe actually SAID yes until she was 2.5.  Chloe has a blast having Autumn repeat words.  The dinner table has become a zoo as there are animal sounds heard all throughout a meal.

Lord's Supper - For the past 6 months or so, Chloe has really been into acting out the Lord's supper.  She was doing it several times a day.  This month is our month to make the bread.  Last week, I gave her a piece to use during her pretend play.  I also provided apple juice.  The joy on her face!  Autumn was still napping, so I participated in her "service".  She was quite good at it!  I had already taught her she should thank God for Jesus dying for us.  She did that and then served me and several other imaginary pew sitters.

Our house is still for sale and showing.  Still have had no one reject for a reason we could fix, which we are looking at as a good thing.  Patience for the impatient is quite a skill or is it a virtue?  Provides encouragement for developing clean habits.

Hope your summer has started off well!

  2. I suppose I'm odd in that I'm always excited to READ what is going on...yes, pictures always add to it but the reading part is what I enjoy most.
