To Market, to market, to buy a...

Adam and I (along with some pretty fabulous friends and family) have been working diligently to get our house ready to go on the market this month.  No, it's not ready as quickly as I would have liked, but we are getting there.  And my expectations may have been unrealistic :) The two HUGE projects are mostly done!  2 weekends ago some guy friends helped Adam tear up the flooring in the living spaces.  My mom came up and helped me work outside in the yard.  Adam's parents kept the girls for us.  AMAZING what we got done!  Front yard, one side of the house and the back yard look awesome.  It's really unfortunate that I don't have before pictures, but imagine piles of leaves and weeds and some pretty sad looking flower beds.  Then I picked up the girls and took off for Bowling Green to allow Adam and his dad to work on putting the bamboo floor down.  (Daddy also had surgery on his foot and Ellen was in town, so we got to be in Bowling Green for those events, too.)  Daddy's surgery went well.  We got to play with Ellen and Hunter.  We stayed with a friend that we hadn't seen in ages, so splendid trip overall.
The bamboo flooring Adam chose looks great!  It even makes our horrendous kitchen cabinets look pretty good.  Currently, the baseboards need some caulking and the doorways need a little help transitioning, but otherwise DONE!  The painting in the living space was completed while we were away as well.  Oh, yes, we still have a mountain of small projects to complete, but I am hoping to get lots of those accomplished this weekend.  Maybe by next weekend all that will be left will be having a yard sale, loading up a storage building, and doing a final cleaning.

Adam has been working some late nights and we have had a few rainy days.  This is the girls new favorite activity.  Jumping off the couch onto a stack of pillows.  No one has gotten hurt yet :)

Autumn loves to accessorize.  Whatever she can find to fit on her head on around her neck will do.
Hugging has become quite the activity in our house.  What begins as a hug can end as a wrestling match.  Autumn gives such sweet, delightful hugs.  Chloe loves to give BIG hugs and squeeze our necks tightly.
Today Chloe and I planted some Easter grass.  Hopefully, we will have baskets of grass next Sunday to put some goodies into.  What do all of you do for Easter?  Our family celebrates Christ's death and resurrection each first day of the week, so we don't have the need to do that.  But coloring eggs, hunting for them, and filling baskets, are wonderfully fun activities!

  1. We are heading to the stockyards for a (I assume) very large egg hunt. I think this year we are going to plany magic jelly beans on Saturday night and see what grows by morning :) Also, I'm thinking about a scavenger hunt to find his easter basket :)With his BIG birthday party this weekend, I haven't really even begun to think about easter...but we'll color eggs I think.

Perhaps the jumping off the couch is what prompted A the tumble off the bed? :)
