Yes, we are well into 2012 and I have yet to post. Each day that passes makes it harder to write because I have to condense so much. Guess it's one of those irritating cycles. Either deal with it or post more often :)
Christmas was great fun! Chloe is old enough to tear open gifts and be excited by what she got. We tried to take our time at each celebration and let she and Autumn enjoy opening gifts and show a little gratitude. We worked on polite gift receiving but I suppose that'll be a work in progress for at least a few years. One of the funniest things that happened the entire weekend...on Sunday morning we were explaining to Chloe that even though we started opening presents on Friday, this was actually Christmas day. She said, "I don't want anymore Christmas, I just want to play." Apparently, we had been packing up and moving on without letting her play with many of the things she received. We hadn't had our little family Christmas yet, and we ended up waiting till Tuesday, so the girls would enjoy it.
I didn't get many pictures at our Christmas celebrations because I forgot the battery for the camera. (Yes, I was disappointed, but at least we all had these "smart" phones that could take decent pictures.)
Chloe had a blast with Hunter!
Chloe is really into pretending and using her imagination. You never know what you will find if she has been playing by herself. She builds trains by gathering all the chairs/stools/push toys together and putting them in a line. Here she made a "big bed" out of newspaper, complete with blanket and pillow. First, she had put her babies to bed here, but then she laid down and did her snoring bit :)

Autumn still loves to cuddle and thus has a hard time taking long enough naps, She often ends up in our bed at nap-time.
Much as I have protested (not protested so much as resisted the inevitable mess) Autumn has begun using a fork/spoon. She is so proud of herself and loves to clap and be clapped for.

Monday, I had 4 children in my care for the morning. The extra 2 were boys (2 yrs old and 7 months)
and we had great fun sword fighting, using play dough, playing dr, and chasing one another. Boys are rambunctious and certainly add excitement to a girl's morning!
Random photo, but a must see!

Didn't I send you some pictures? I meant to....
