Tomorrow our family of four and my mom are driving to North Carolina! We are headed for the beach!
My mom will be joining us both to make it easier on us with the girls and because we are going up where her parents live. So other than being a vacation, we will also get to see Mom and Pop a few times! Pop is still in the rehab facility and has made quite a few improvements. He is eating on his own now and standing for a bit at a time. I don't think he is talking yet.
Tomorrow evening we are planning to stay the night just outside of Raleigh with my uncle Bubba and his family. Chloe is very excited to see Lily again :) Sunday, we plan to stop at the rehab facility and visit for a little while and then drive on to the beach. I think there is much fun ahead!
The only drawback to this trip is that my other grandmother (my dad's mom) is in really bad shape. My grandparents stayed with my dad this past week because of the devastation in Cullman. They returned home yesterday. Grandma is not getting out of bed and is quickly declining. Though she is ready to go and we are all ready for her to be free from pain, it's still difficult knowing she won't be here much longer. Please pray for our peace and her comfort.
Even without her beautiful hair, she still looks the same. Peace to her and Grandpa and to all the family.
