I've been on a blogging hiatus. I keep thinking that once life gets back to normal, I'll post. I guess this is normal and I need to get used to it!
The same day that Pop had his stroke, my girls and I were hostesses to 5 toddlers and their moms for our first Valentine's Day party. We all had a blast! There was a card making table, a pretzel making/decorating station, a valentine exchange, and of course lots of LEARNING TO SHARE! Before all of her friends arrived, Chloe and I had a pretty involved discussion about sharing. I think it made some sort of impact because she still talks about "Share, toys, Brody? Abby?"

There are a few photos I wanted to share from our trip to NC to see Pop.
This one is of Chloe and Autumn in Mom and Pop's bed. A strange place, a late night arrival, and a time change led to all sorts of odd sleeping arrangements!
This is the sign in front of Mom's "store". If the sound of the road didn't tell us we were close, then Ellen and I were always on the lookout for this sign. Such a memory and I am not sure I'd ever taken a picture before!
There are some things in life that must be done. There are some things in life that are not fun to do. One of those is...giving up the paci :( Chloe has been chewing holes in her paci's and one by one we have had her put them in the trash. Well, the last one went to the garbage graveyard this afternoon. Adam thinks it's going to be easy peasy. Me, I'm not too sure. On top of that Autumn and I had really restless nights last night. We caught some sort of stomach virus from our niece.
At least it doesn't seem we'll have to break Autumn of a paci :) Here's her comfort mechanism.

I did not think my daughters were going to be close enough in age for me to get them matching clothes. I also didn't think I would be the kind of mom who wanted her children to match. I do like to coordinate with one another but not necessarily match. No, I don't do it often, but sometimes I can't help myself. Here they are in their matching Valentine's Day attire.

Chloe is getting more and more involved in cooking. She's learned to pretend with her little kitchen a little better since she received this apron, hat, and oven mitt from her Ninny. But she still loves to get in a chair and "help me".
Here's Autumn in her 4 month growth photo. She and Chloe both had a pediatrician's appt this week. Chloe weighed in at 25.5 lbs and Autumn came in a close second weighing in at 16. 6 lbs.
