"Wishing and hoping and thinking and praying..."

This is one of those times when I think God must be teaching me patience.  We are now 38 weeks along, not getting much comfortable sleep at night, not walking around comfortably in the day, and trying ALL kinds of things to bring on labor.  I have most definitely been praying for God to bring this baby in HIS time and when the baby is ready to come, but always at the end of that prayer is "and if that's today, that would be splendid!"  I'm at that point where I am ready to have my body to myself once more and I want to meet this baby!  Plus, Adam and I have FINALLY settled on names (nope...you'll have to wait till d-day...we are all about the secrets this time!) and they are pretty stupendous.
In the meantime, Chloe and I are keeping ourselves busy.  We had a playdate on Tuesday.  Wednesday we went shopping.  It just hit me that Chloe had all kinds of new stuff when she arrived and thus far I had not bought one single thing for this baby!  The main reason for this is that I am really NOT into the gender neutral thing this time.  I want something pink or blue...so I must wait.  However, we did purchase a stuffed animal to put in the crib.  Not much, but it made me feel better.  Thursday I got the crib ready for a newborn again, straightened up the garage, straightened up the guest room and the dining room, cleaned the kitchen, and got all the laundry done.  I'm trying to stay on top of things, so I won't be so overwhelmed when the baby comes.  Friday we went to the zoo.
This week I'll be ruminating on this passage...

2 My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, 3 knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. 4 But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing. 5 If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. 6 But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind. 7 For let not that man suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord; 8 he is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways.

And yes, Patience is a virtue!
