Apparently our little one got the message that SHE is not allowed to make her parents late! Autumn Moira (phonetically - Moyra) Malone was born ON her due date (October 30, 2010) at 5:55 PM. She came in (or out rather) at a hefty 7 lbs and 14 oz and 20 inches long. Hard to believe this little baby we are holding is almost a whole 2 lbs bigger than Chloe was when she was born!
Labor was short and to the point once more. We got to the hospital at around 2 PM and Autumn was in our arms 4 hours later. Labor was tough (as God said it would be), but we all endured. Adam was/is a fabulous partner! He did SUCH an awesome job comforting and trying to make me relax. So glad God has blessed me with such a great man.
Autumn does have quite the set of lungs. She announced her arrival proudly for almost the entire 3 hours of "bonding" time with us in the delivery room. I think this little daughter of ours is going to be quite the spirited child. She moved a ton in utereo and she fidgets/kicks a whole lot in her sleep now. Where Chloe wanted to eat what seemed like non-stop from the beginning, Autumn seems to be very laid-back in that area. She's eaten very well, just not quite so often. Amazing to me that we can already see differences between she and Chloe.
I am in love once more and am so blessed to be the mom of two precious little girls. I am grateful that God has entrusted us with 2 souls of His to "train up" and can only pray that we can plant seeds and help them grow.
Chloe hasn't met her little sister yet. Sundays are too busy with worship services and naps to fit in a (everyone in a good mood) visit. So, we are waiting to do introductions tomorrow. Adam and I are pretty excited to do that. Chloe is really interested in babies and baby dolls, so we are hoping that this will be a loving relationship :)
