Chloe really likes pumpkins. I don't know if it is because she hasn't really seen any until recently, so it's a novelty, or what, but almost every time she sees one, she points and says "pum pum". I did make her some pumpkin baby food last year. Perhaps she remembers how tasty it was!
I've never understood parents who would say they liked the words their children came up with for certain things because it sounded so adorable and therefore didn't correct them on those certain words, wanting to maintain the cuteness for as long as possible. However, I am starting to understand that. Chloe has some really cute "words" right now. I do try to say it properly most of the time though. Would you want to be 30 and saying Pumpum because no one corrected you?!
We bought pumpkins for carving this week. I ended up buying one for me to carve and a couple small ones for Chloe to paint. She really enjoyed the painting part. I did get her to stick her hand in the pumpkin a few times while I was cleaning it out, but she didn't ever really pull anything out...maybe next year. Hopefully you can tell what my carving is of. I am pretty proud of myself considering I think I've only done the typical triangle eyes, nose, and few teeth thing in the past.
Chloe is starting to enjoy playing in the leaves. I still haven't exactly convinced her to jump in them, but she will now run over to the pile, swing her arms, and eventually fall on her bottom. It was pretty funny the first time she did it.
In Baby #2 news...8 days till our due date and counting. Not really any other news to report. I'm doing better about getting through each day with more patience since I have convinced myself he/she will arrive when God is ready for them to, even if that is in November. Yes, I am uncomfortable, but if that's the only thing I can complain about, I need to count my blessings!
I'm planning to go get a pedicure this afternoon. Other than that, I have tried EVERY other induction technique I know about. (Except castor oil...Haven't heard anything good about that experience!) If nothing comes of it, at least I'll have nicely massaged and painted feet.

What an adorable child! and I love the Minnie Mouse pumpkin. Good job.
ReplyDeleteWhat color are the toes?
So, I'm a little behind and just discovered your blog! (Cindi sent it to me.)
ReplyDeleteGeorgia loves "punkeens" this year too, and "suh-care-cwows!"
Sorry you're uncomfortable, but he/she will be here before you know it! I got a pedicure trying to induce Georgia. It didn't work, but it sure was nice! Hope you enjoyed yours!
