Labor Day

No, I don't mean LABOR...I'm talking about the holiday.  Silly people!

Adam, Chloe, and I went to see our friends (the Whites) in Pinson, AL this past weekend.  On the way, we were able to stop and say hello to my grandparents, aunts, and cousins in Cullman.  We had a good couple of hours with them and then it was on to Pinson.

Gloria and I were suitemates at FC and have remained good friends.  She and her hubby have 3 boys, the oldest is 4 and the youngest is 2 weeks younger than Chloe.  Chloe had MUCH to entertain her.  We don't have much sword fighting, light saber wars, football playing, or Wii games going on at our house!  We adults enjoyed some Canasta playing, some Settlers of Cataan games, and sharing our parenting stories.  We took the kids to a splash park on Friday.  Chloe LOVED it!  Gloria and I took the toddlers to the Butterbean Festival that was in town on Saturday.  We got to see the Largest Pot of Cooked Butterbeans while we were there :)

One of Chloe's favorite things at their house was the piano.
She looked like a wee Beethoven!

It's fun to reminisce with old friends, but even more so to look forward to the future and think of the tasks and joys ahead of us.

Tuesday, Adam's grandparents were in town and stopped by to see us.  We don't get to see them very often, so that was really nice.  I think everyone is trying to get their "Chloe time" in before the next little one joins our crew!

  1. These photos are great! Glad you had a good weekend and trip. I saw that Butterbean Festival and told D I wanted to go IF we didn't take a mini-vacation! :)

  3. The Biltmore would have definitely been better than the BB Festival!

They are play clothes, but I thought she looked cute anyway! Maybe that's the issue...moms think their kids make the clothes look good :)
