Wilson County Fair

Chloe had her first fair experience on Saturday!  I was the most excited about going though, I think :)  Fairs remind me of fall and make me want to cuddle with my honey.  This time, since I am pretty pregnant and Chloe is only 18 months old, we went with a plan of only walking and experiencing the atmosphere, and of course, eating some FOOD!  The atmosphere was the same as always...oodles of teenagers, loud music, and stinky animals.  The roasted corn was spectacular!  I think we are going to start dipping our corn in butter at home :) Chloe's favorite was the funnel cake.  We took Chloe through the livestock exhibit a couple of times.  The part she spent the most time in?  No, not petting the pigs, not chasing the chickens, and not even the free popsicle at the end.  It was "picking" the vegetables and digging in the dirt!  We had a great time just spending time together and watching Chloe experience the lights, sounds, and people.

Today, Chloe and I went to the zoo.  It was fabulous!  We didn't get there until 9:30 and stayed for a couple of hours.  AND we didn't swelter and suffer the entire time like we have been.  We even walked almost the entire zoo.  Quite an accomplishment considering the heat would only allow me to go to just a few exhibits these past few weeks.  I am very grateful that God has given us a bit of relief from the heat!
