It's raining, it's pouring, my baby is snoring :)
Yesterday, quite a storm blew up as we were on our way to the pediatrician's office. We missed most of it and only got a little wet walking to the car (which Chloe enjoyed I might add). When we got home, I got Chloe out of the van and she stood at the edge of the garage looking longingly out at the gently falling rain and the puddles just out of her reach. (It's been SO hot, we just haven't been able to go outside much. 45 min is the absolute max before she and I are drenched with sweat and have to go inside.) So...I said, " Go ahead! I'll go get a towel and the camera and be right back." She got a huge smile on her face and took off for the puddle! There's definitely a theme to our summer pictures as Adam noticed last night...water :) Chloe had a really good time, playing in the puddles and getting wet with water from the Lord, rather than from her body! The rain cooled off the air nicely, so I enjoyed sitting on the stoop watching her too.
It's still raining today and such a lovely day for napping, Chloe decided she would take a morning nap today. Who can refuse a nap to a little girl who asks for one?!

I'm trying to get the house clean before my mom arrives for a visit this evening. I only have one main room to go and our bedroom is a disaster area. It somehow always turns into the place I put that stuff that doesn't have a place and the stuff that I need to "put away" quickly when people come over. Every time I clean it up, once a month or so, I promise myself that it won't happen again. Everything will be PUT AWAY and not just stashed for the time being. I feel so much more relaxed when ALL the rooms are clean. I think the solution is I just need a maid! Christmas is coming...anyone up for hiring me a maid?
Question of the post: How do you keep your bedroom clean?
I Iet my wife take of it...although if I don't pick up my tshirts she sometimes gets annoyed :)
ReplyDeleteThese are so sweet. you are a great mom!!
ReplyDeleteI clean it once a week. But clutter is one thing that drives me crazy so if it gets too bad before my once a week comes up, its up late to take care of it!
ReplyDeleteAnd by the way, I dont even let my SON wear his shorts as low as she has hers up there! :)
ReplyDeleteI love these photos! They are really some of my favorite because you can see how happy she is and even the fact that she thought she might not get to play in the rain, but then you let her... kind of a sheepish look on her face. :)
ReplyDeleteI keep coming back to look at these. I love them. :)
