Autumn is truly the best 3.75 year old hair stylist! She does her own hair on a daily basis. A couple of Wednesdays ago she put my hair in a ponytail, did some twists, and finished with a tiny band.
One of Adam's college friends invited us to his family's farm in Somerset, KY a few weeks ago. Friday we went hiking at Cumberland Falls because his friend had to work. It was the best hike we have had! It was a little over a mile, but it was hard hiking. Steep inclines with narrow passages at some points. We saw all kinds of distinctly different mushrooms, a stick bug, a lizard, several caterpillars, a really strange looking diseased tree, and a magnificent waterfall. In addition, there was hardly any complaining!
We spent Friday night and Saturday on the farm. Friday night Chloe made friends with a frog and I rarely have heard her laugh so heartily. She had a large coffee can that she kept catching him in and he was insistent that he did not want to live there! We got to feed some "pet" catfish and fished for some bass. We also all rode a four wheeler for the first time. Chloe and Autumn were thrilled that there were enough bunk beds for them BOTH to sleep on the top bunk!
There was a nearby Civil War Trades festival we attended a couple of weeks ago. We all learned! Autumn enjoyed watching the tailor and washing clothes the most while Chloe enjoyed making handkerchief and corn husk dolls.

We just returned from spending a few days in Bowling Green with the "boys". Judy went out of town, so we went to hang out with Hunter (on fall break), Big Papa, and Grandpa.
That trip sounds like fun! Love all the pictures.
