Goodbye Little House

Smyrna and our first little house have been so good to us!

We were renting an apartment in Franklin, TN and Adam and I discovered we could purchase a house for about the same money as we were paying in rent.  We didn't know a lot about Smyrna, but we found a good little house and decided to take the plunge!  This house became our home when Chloe was an itty bitty babe.  Pebbles was still around.  We had plenty of lazy days and time to lie around.

This little house has seen us through some significant times in our lives.  Pebbles last years were here.  It has seen 2 little girls go from newborns to little ladies.   We've entertained many here, established several dear friendships here, had bible studies, singings, barbecues, first birthday celebrations, first family holiday experiences, and just generally grown as a family here.

Chloe's first hide and seek games have been here.
 Autumn first came home here.

Both girls experienced their first snows here.
Chloe became an extraordinary big sister in this house.
These kids have had fun times here!
Hundreds of birds have been watched out of this window.
These girls have helped me care for my babies here.
We have waited for Daddy many afternoons in front of this door on this front stoop.

We girls have become gardeners in this yard.
This tree has seen lots of little legs in its branches.
Adam has changed his lifestyle here.  He's going to miss the roads, sidewalks, snails, bunnies, cows, and running routes he can take here.
We love our little Smyrna library and Mrs. Sandy!  Chloe and Autumn are on the left of this photo.

It's been a great first house!
However, we are all really excited about the changes coming our way!  Short commutes to almost everywhere we go frequently, more simple to entertain with a better flow to the main living areas, close to the church building so can have people over for Sunday dinner and bible studies, a room primarily for all our little friends to play, a BIG kitchen, more storage space, room for us to spread out on our schooling adventure, discovering new to us parks/playgrounds, and it just seems to be built for us to better serve others!
