I admit it...
I am a slacker...or maybe procrastinator is a better word for it.
I've been trying to get organized and in routine enough to begin a daily bible lesson with Chloe. My goal was to start by 18 months. Now, it's simply get that 31 day habit started by the time #2 is born! Chloe has started singing in worship, "loving" (patting/hugging) her bible, and hiding her light under a bushel. She can say bible, God, and Noah. She loves going to bible class, so I know she is ready to learn some at home!
Adam has been praying with her before bed for a few months now and we usually pray before each meal. Chloe has started reminding us if we (or rather I) forget! (I seem to often forget at breakfast time.) She may take one bite, but then she will put her spoon down and say "pay" and hold out her hand for me to take.
Tonight, I finally put together a plan for next week :) We're going to spend a week on Creation. Tell the story, sing some songs, and do an activity. I also want to work on what we are doing when we pray and the books of the bible. Shouldn't be that hard to accomplish right?

I got such nice visuals in my head when I read this. :)
ReplyDeleteIt's usually just random ones I pick out. Short ones or just part of a verse. But when we start going over them he says a few we havent learned at home, which come from Bible class so I add those to his list too once he tells me what it is.
